Frequently Asked Questions
Are there paddles for all paces? Absolutely! All experience levels are welcome. Whether you’ve been playing for years or have never even held a paddle, there is a place for you. We will even have a coach on-site to teach the basics to newcomers and offer some extra pointers to anyone looking to sharpen their game.
Do I need to sign up in advance? Yes! Pre-registration is required. This allows us to plan appropriately for player rotations, court assignments, and—most importantly—enough snacks for everyone! Please register by April 10 to secure your spot in the bracket or as a spectator.
What makes "The Battle of the Paddles" special? It’s a chance to Play with Purpose! You’ll compete in a high-energy environment at the premier Pickleball Kingdom facility while supporting a life-changing mission. Every serve helps Canines 4 Comfort provide psychiatric service dogs and facility dogs to veterans, adolescents, first responders, schools, and more.
How much playtime will I get as a player? To keep the energy high, every registered player is guaranteed at least one hour of court time. Whether you’re a pro or a beginner, you’ll get plenty of chances to rally for our incredible dogs.
Can I still join the fun if I don’t play pickleball? Absolutely! Grab a Spectator Pass to be part of the community spirit. You’ll get in the door to cheer on the players, and you’ll have full access to Win Big by browsing our fantastic local silent auction packages and trying your luck with our raffles.
What happens after the matches? We invite everyone to Refuel & Mingle! Once the paddles are down, stick around to partake in our after-pickleball snacks. It’s the perfect time to celebrate the winners and connect with fellow dog lovers.
How does my registration help the dogs? Canines 4 Comfort is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit (EIN #82-3450357). We are dedicated to providing trained dogs to support mental health treatment and wellness. Because our services are provided free of charge to our recipients, we rely solely on the generosity of our community. You are literally helping us make a difference—one serve at a time!
