My name is Joey and I was recruited for Canines 4 Comfort in March of 2021. Prior to joining, I lived with my mommy and littermates. I am grateful to a local breeder for connecting me with Canines 4 Comfort.
Breed: Retriever mix
Age: 5 months
I aspire to become a psychiatric service dog. I have mastered my potty training and now learning basic obedience which will help Canines 4 Comfort determine my placement. I relax by chewing on a teething toy, but my ears will always perk up when a box of treats is shaken. My secret tickle spot is the inside of my thigh. My guilty pleasure is stealing shoes from any member of my host family - I never chew them, I just enjoy resting my chin inside the heel.
I currently live with the Wernli Family, who helped found Canines 4 Comfort.
One of the most exciting things I have done for Canines 4 Comfort is to snuggle with a young boy whose dog was very sick. I can’t wait to do more!!!
